The flavour of Fifth

America’s most famous avenue is home to magnificent mansions, marvelous museums, iconic architecture, slick hotels and shops where luxury is the first and last word.
For a while there, I knew Gene Moore, a genteel, clever man with a flair for little things. For almost 30 years, he was, as design director, responsible for creating the famous pint-sized window displays at the Tiffany & Co flagship store on New York City’s Fifth Avenue.
